Towels using only the finest materials, including pure organic cotton and Egyptian (Pima) cotton.

Founded in 1934 in Imabari, the leading region in Japan for towel production, Kontex manufactures and sells towel products, bedding, interior products and terry cloth clothing. In 1951, they launched their Kontex brand, developing unique products and selling them to department stores and specialty shops throughout Japan through sales agencies. They use only the most carefully selected materials such as organic and Egyptian cottons, and all manufacturing is done in Japan.

Their organic products are environmentally friendly. For processing, they use natural, mineral-rich water originating in mountains 2,000 meters high. To ensure their towels are gentle for people and the environment, they use biodegradable enzymes, naturally extracted orange oil, and pure vegetable soap to break down oils. Their ambition is to introduce their premium quality towels to people around the globe so everyone can experience the luxurious feel of their soft towels.
